Why is it completely free?
STOE started as a passion project to help us and our kids understand how AI actually works. We built it for ourselves first. Charging for access would contradict the whole point — this is about learning, not revenue.
What's the catch?
There isn't one. No email capture on exit. No "free trial" that expires. No features locked behind a paywall. The site runs on Vercel; hosting costs us a few dollars a month. That's it.
Will it stay free?
Yes. If we ever add optional paid features (like a hosted notebook or a team dashboard), everything that exists today stays free. We'll update this page before anything changes.
Can I use this for a class or workshop?
Absolutely — that's exactly the kind of use we built it for. No license needed. If you want to let us know how it went, we'd genuinely love to hear.
How do I support the project?
